Every year a young adult heads off to college. With tution, book fees, lab fees & dorm expenses, these students often look for scholarships & financial aid to help with the soaring costs of higher education. As a member of the Northern Ohio Draft Pony Association, your children have the opportunity to apply for the Vance Cravens Memorial Scholarship to help offset these costs. You must be an active member, child or grand child of an active member to be able to apply for this scholarship.
The Vance Cravens Memorial Scholarship was started in 1991 in memory of Vance Cravens, son of Butch & Judy Cravens, for those who choose to better their lives by going on to a higher level of education.
Miss Brianna Bowman

My name is Brianna Bowman and I am the daughter of Jay Bowman and granddaughter of Jack and Bea Bowman. I have recently completed my third year at The Ohio State University where I am majoring in Middle Childhood Education with an emphasis in Mathematics and Science. I am an active member of Kappa Phi Kappa, an educational fraternity. I also work in the Student Consolidated Service Center on campus where we handle student financial aid, residency and transcripts.
I have been an active member of the NODPA for as long as I can remember. With my grandfather being one of the original members, it was no surprise that I would become an active member of the association. I am currently serving as the 2010 NODPA Queen and look forward to representing the club at many of the county fairs throughout the summer. I would like to thank the NODPA for providing me with the Vance Cravens Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship comes in handy throughout the school year when paying for books and other college expenses.
